How To Use CMS Pages | PrestaShop 1.7.x

  1. In your Prestashop admin panel go to the DesignPages section :

2. Click the Add new CMS page button at the top-right of the page to create a custom page with your own content :

3. Fill the form with page parameters and details :

  • Page Category – The default category is the homepage of your store. If you want to have this page in a different category, you first need to create it in the Catalog Categories menu in your admin panel.
  • Meta Title – Add the name of the page display in the browser.
  • Meta Description – This option is use to describe the content of the page for search engines.
  • Meta Keywords – This option is use by the search engines to understand what kind of information a page has.
  • Friendly URL – This field will be automatically filled as you enter the category name, you can still edit it manually as you want.
  • Page Content – Add the main content of your page.
  • Indexing by search engines – You need to indicate whether the search engines should index your page or not.
  • Displayed – You need to choose to make the page public or not.

4. Save the changes you made.

5. Go to the DesignLink widget and look for the block which is currently display on your website. Click on the Edit button to open the block settings :

6. Select the checkbox near the title of your newly created page to activate it and make it visible on your website :

7. Save the changes and check your website. You will find the link to your CMS page in the footer.
